For the Sineann dinner, a somewhat different format was followed in that each table was really it's own mini-wine dinner. Vintner, David O'Reilly chose not to address the group as a whole, but Instead, he spent considerable time at the individual tables which created a pleasantly relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The "one-on-one" relationship between David and the diners definitely encouraged more questions and lots of lively discussions took place. These ran the gamut from wine and food to ecology, Irish history, worms, earwigs, pneumismatics , soccer and more. However, while Mr. O'Reilly seems to be knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects, he is first ,and foremost, a dedicated and talented winemaker. The guests were treated to a truly wonderful selection of intensely flavorful and robust wines from Sineann and Owen Roe. The wine, Chef Gulija's inspired menu, and the conversation really could not have been better and this rather small tasting event ended as a huge success.
